The love connection dimension of the Pastoral call needs significantly more attention and visibility than it now has in most places. The Pastoral Ministry is love at work: the love God shows to the Pastor by trusting him; the love the Pastor shows for God by serving Him; the love that God and the Pastor show to human beings in need. Our call takes us in love to the middle of spiritual action. Pastoral Ministry is not slavery but an agape love force for the spiritual recovery of self and society. Unfortunately, many do not think being called to Pastor is enough. They believe there is something bigger, better and more important. But in reality, the call to Pastor is God’s love connection. It does not get any better than that.
